MN GOP Chairman Keith Downey announced on May 9 that he has appointed Barb Sutter, with the unanimous approval of the State Executive Committee, to serve as Secretary of the Republican Party of Minnesota. The appointment is “on an interim basis until an election can be held at the next State Central Meeting after our upcoming May 20th meeting.”
Ryan Love, elected MN GOP Secretary in 2014, resigned when the acceptance of a new job required that he leave Minnesota and move to Florida
Chairman Downey congratulated Barb and thanked her for her service to the Party.
“Barb has been a BPOU chair and candidate for state legislature, and brings a wealth of experience, perspective and relationships to the position.”
Downey pointed out that Barb “also offered to help support both our Red to the Roots program and Republican Leadership Initiative in addition to the traditional duties of Secretary.”
Barb Sutter will assume her duties immediately and will serve as the party secretary for the meeting of the State Central committee and the State Convention on May 20-21.
